A woman noted a car in the driveway of the house she was about to buy, which she was told had been abandoned. However, once she moved in, she quickly realized that one of her neighbors was living in it.
She didn't understand why this was necessary, as the other woman had a house to live in with her family, and they refused to move the vehicle when asked politely. She was left thinking up different ways that she could get them to finally get the car off her property.

My neighbors are living in their car in front of my house.
I just bought the house, and according to everyone the car in front was abandoned. And I was an idiot and closed without making them move it.
The day after I closed, suddenly it had new tags on the plates and sheets in the windows. Normally, I’d be nicer. But she has a house next door she could live in. She has a house next door that her family lives in, and she parks next to my daughter’s bedroom window instead. Like, I have a corner lot. She parked it at the side furthest from her house. And then my neighbors—the ones living in the house that is—requested I not park on the side of my house next to my front door because they wanted to park their other, drivable, car there. It’s also the furthest side from their front door.

I asked nicely for them to move it, and they will not. I’ve called the city, and I assume they’ll tow it at some point. But quite frankly I think people should get used to abnormal behavior being called out. And I’m ready for your most unhinged but legal tips.
I already put some nice sardine fertilizer in my garden right next to her truck. I’m also sitting in a chair blasting baby shark from a speaker on the sidewalk next to her car. But I know we can do better.
This was a clearly unusual situation, and it wasn't fair that the homeowner was put in the middle of it just because she was a neighbor. There needed to be a way to make sure that the woman wasn't living on her driveway anymore, and it was likely that the solution wasn't going to be a very nice one. Still, there had to be a way to solve the issue promptly.

Sugar attracts ants
It wouldn’t be illegal to park in front of their house as long as you’d like
Definitely get security cameras
Be careful using a slingshot and tiny stones, because they break glass easily
I would check into your local laws honestly there’s probably a law about them camping on the street. There’s probably a law about them living in their car. There’s probably a law about loitering. There’s probably some law that they’re breaking.
Water your lawn really well, but be careful aiming your sprinklers
Be carful not to park them in
High powered flashlight focused directly on their windows
If they aren’t living in their house and their house is right next-door is there perhaps a reason like it’s full of junk or in really bad repair you know cause those seem like potential code violations
Small beans, but park exactly where they requested you not park. Put security cameras up everywhere in case they retaliate. But otherwise, what are they gonna do?
Just call the police and tell them there’s a suspicious car parked outside your house with sheets covering the windows and you suspect someone is living in the vehicle. Maybe ask for a mental health check on the person/s in the car as you believe they own/live in the house next door but seem to be living in their car.
Also, not sure where you live, but if it’s a snowy area, there may be street parking laws based on certain times of the year so that snow plows can plow a residential street.
You don’t really have to do anything unethical to resolve this situation.
There are probably parking bylaws that just aren't actively enforced. If you call it in the tickets will likely reign down.
Also, it's likely they just have a domestic issue that prevents her from staying in the house. Can't imagine this is just a fun choice lol
